Banyuwangi Ethno Carnival 2015

Banyuwangi Ethno Carnival (Indonesia: Karnaval Etnik Banyuwangi) or often called BEC is a carnival fashion event held every year in a series of Banyuwangi Festival in Banyuwangi, East Java. Route that is passed to the Office of Parks Blambangan Banyuwangi regent through the streets of the city of Banyuwangi protocol along 2.2 kilometers.





 Implementation  Banyuwangi Ethno Carnival:

  1. BEC 5 (2015): Usingnese Royal Wedding. Held on October 17, 2015. Raised in the Bride Concepts Using tribe. Soon in Banyuwangi Festival 2015.
  2. BEC 4 (2014) : The Mystic Dance of Seblang Implemented on 22 November 2014. Ethno Banyuwangi 4th Carnival was held with the concept Seblang (dancer with an unconscious condition / fall asleep) and has 2 main stage is a stage in the Garden Blambangan. Divided into 3 procession namely, Seblang Olehsari, Seblang Bakungan and Porobungkil. BEC this 4th followed by the little BEC BEC mini costumes worn by elementary school students.
  3. BEC 3 (2013): The Legend of Kebo-keboan. Implemented on September 7, 2013. At that time brings one culture in Banyuwangi the Kebo-keboan. Kebo-keboan culture comes from the village of Alasmalang, Banyuwangi which is divided into three marches that Kebo Geni, Kebo Bayutirta, and Kebo Earth. The procession is taken as based on the elements of life. 
  4. BEC 2 (2012): Re-Barong UsingImplemented on 18 November 2012. Using the same route but with more participants. Banyuwangi Ethno Carnival this time the theme Re-Using Barong, the participants wore costumes typical Using knickknacks barong (Banyuwangenan). Participants were divided into 3 namely procession. Barong procession of red, yellow and Barong Barong green. There is also a guest of Jember Fashion Carnaval who participated in this event.
  5. BEC 1 (2011): Ikon Kesenian Banyuwangi. Banyuwangi Ethno first Carnival held in Banyuwangi on October 22, 2011. Participants with colorful costumes walk along the main streets of Banyuwangi city. Participants came from high school students in Banyuwangi. This carnival procession which is divided into 3 Damarwulan, gandrung and Kundaran.

Banyuwangi regency government initiated this event aims at bridging the modernization of the local cultural arts during this growth in public life Banyuwangi become an event in the form of a parade of international scale without having to change the values that have evolved and grown in both community spirit and philosophy
